I saw on the top of the Affiliate Convention site that it said: Affiliate Convention, where affiliates always attend for FREE!
But the registration page says this
2009 Affiliate Convention Denver. There is no guarantee that an affiliate program will sponsor you. The decision is theirs. If you are definitely coming to the event, we recommend that you REGISTER and pay for your conference pass now. You will receive a full refund if you become a sponsored affiliate.
So, I can attend for free, maybe, but I won't know until after my payment clears?

If you are going as a sponsored affiliate, then you can wait for sponsorship which take about 48 to 72 hours, or as an affspot member you can register and as soon as I see your affspot username and confirm that it is you, I check the database, then you are approved, no credit card needed

Maybe I am being totally dense here, but how can you say "affiliates always attend for FREE!" if they have to join here (the reason I joined here) or get sponsored by some company?
Maybe you should have an asterisk, because that claim isn't true, since there are conditions to it.

It is free...but in order to keep the integrity of the show for affiliates to attend for free, we have to checks and balances in place to ensure that working affiliates are receiving complimentary passes and that no one is trying to gain access for free who is NOT an affiliate
