Feed Flare Media - Intorducing Myself!
Hey All, I finally took the plunge and joined this forum. From what I can tell so far, everything looks great! Nice Site!
The reason why I joined this forum is because, like many other affiliates out there - I have decided to start my own affiliate network, mostly for me and my needs to start off with and grow from there. My network, Feed Flare Media will not be open to the public for a while as I want to be able to build a network that actually helps all affiliates and will not contribute to the fraud issues that exist. I do have some heavy plans to help with that too btw.
A bit about me!
I have been affiliate marketing for about 2 years now. I have had to learn affiliate marketing from scratch completely on my own. I was an injured plumber of 17 years before doing what I do now and I am glad in some aspects that my injury did happen. Affiliate Marketing is something I truly enjoy to do, there is no better job in the world in my opinion.
One thing I have noticed a lot and even at my current stage is, there is not a lot of help out there from most networks I have dealt with. Heck, most affiliate managers don't even know what Media Buying is so, how can they help you? I plan on changing all that. Proper Education is the key to everyone's success and having a resource center to help affiliates grow is also key.
So instead of saying hi, nice to meet you in the comment section after my little introduction I am going to ask you to answer one question for me if you can.
"What is the one thing you have always wanted to see in a network and never have" you know, the one thing that frustrates you?
Thank you all for your time and I look forward in the months to come, getting to know most of you!

Number one thing? Don't be a douch, don't get into scumbaggery, and only do what you say you will and do it well. Don't overpromise, and don't underperform.

Well.. Welcome to AffSpot! Happy to have you with us here.
I won't answer your question specifically (for obvious reasons) but with the proliferation of networks you've hit it.. You have to be different and better. There are a ton of good networks (many of which are on AffSpot) and a bunch that arn't so great as well.
The differentiator for affiliates is how "clean" a network is, how open, how responsive, and how accurate. Your mention of training is an important one as well. And I might add, how well the network accomodates OPMs who do a ton of heavy lifting as well.

Before I forget... Make sure to get into your UserCP and at the bottom left side put in your Facebook info. When you get PM's, answers to threads you've contributed to, etc. it will all show up in your Facebook notifications for you.
And with a single "button push" you can share new threads you create (posts too) directly to your Facebook account.
